Privacy at Anaya

How your family's information is handled · Last updated 31 May 2026

Anaya is a small, family-oriented app for tracking children's daily good deeds, stars, and Qur'an memorization (hifz). It is built to be calm and private. We treat your family's information as an amanah — a trust — and collect only what the app genuinely needs to work.

What we store

What we do NOT do

Each family is separate

Your data is isolated to your family. Other families using Anaya cannot see your information, and you cannot see theirs. Access requires signing in to your account.

Operational monitoring (self-hosted)

To keep the app reliable, we keep a small amount of technical, privacy-scrubbed diagnostic information on our own server — never a third-party service:

This is operational health information only — it does not include your children's names, hifz records, stars, or notes, and it is not behavioural tracking of what you look at. It is kept briefly (a few weeks) and then deleted automatically.

Children's data

Anaya is designed for parents to use on behalf of their family. The information about children is entered by you, the parent, and stays under your control. If you'd like a child's information removed, use the steps below or contact us.

Your data is yours

Where it lives

Anaya is self-hosted on our own server. Sign-in is handled by Supabase (our authentication provider) — they process your email and login only, not your family's content.

Contact

Questions, or a request to delete your data? Use the in-app feedback button, or email us at security@anayafamily.app. We aim to respond to deletion requests promptly.

This policy may be updated as the app grows; the date at the top reflects the latest version.
